What I did here

For these close relationships, we wanted to thank all our customers in a New Year’s setting. And what could be more festive than a song? In our food commercial, we give a voice to the holiday products themselves, singing about how we celebrate our customers.

I created the visual style, came up with our adorable characters, supervised the product shoot, composed the music and supervised the vocalists, art-directed the design, and finally brought all this magnificence to life in motion.

The client was so impressed with our work that, during the production of the commercial, they asked us to create another food commercial about a New Year’s contest, with the grand prize being a gourmet trip to one of the cities in Russia.

We kept the same foundation of the song but changed the melody and structure to make it different from the first video. We replaced the products with a customer who opens a gift from Vkusvill and, with each new line, is transported to a new journey.

Why i love this project

This is one of those projects where every stage is pure fun. Seriously debating for half an hour whether an Olivier salad is a girl or a boy. Singing a song to a ukulele during the client pitch. Assembling a nature-and-gastronomy-themed mood board of Russia.

The commercials became an important part and the visual digital face of a major New Year’s advertising campaign, which garnered 800 million views and achieved a 560% return on investment.
